Instagram Now Supports Multiple Photo Sizes

Instagram have updated their app and now users are able to post landscape or portrait photos, in addition to the regular square photos which have always been supported by Instagram.

Previously users could post these photos, but would have to use a white padding around the photo for the square format. Instagram now want to officially support landscape and portrait photos.

Here is how the new formats look:

It will be interesting to see how this new format looks.

For large phones like the iPhone 6 Plus and Android devices which take large photos this new layout does look really good, but will users want to break away from the square photos they are used to?
